Associate Accountant – External Reporting

Role Summary:

TheAssociate Accountant – External Reporting supports the preparation of external financial and regulatory reports across our Gibraltar and Malta operations.
Role Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation and submission of financial statements and regulatory reports for Gibraltar and Malta entities, including both entity-level and consolidated accounts.

Support the production of quarterly and annual external reports for regulators, auditors, and tax authorities.

Assist in the preparation of Solvency II filings, including SFCR, RSR, and QRTs.

Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of data used in regulatory filings and statutory reporting.

Support tax and regulatory filings, including Insurance Premium Tax (IPT) and corporate tax returns.

Assist with the implementation of new or updated reporting requirements and regulatory changes.

Collaborate with the finance team to support external audit processes, ensuring timely and accurate responses to audit requests.

Work with internal stakeholders to document, maintain, and continuously improve financial reporting processes and procedures.
Skills, Experience & Attributes:

AAT qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA), or equivalent experience.

Minimum 2 years of experience in insurance accounting or financial reporting.

External audit experience is an advantage.

Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills.

Detail-oriented with strong analytical capabilities.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Effective communicator with a collaborative, proactive approach.
